was asking sheryl to help me think of an english name today during lecture. we made a list of some names including daphne, tessa and celest. had lots of fun deciding rubbishy names like " you call gucchi, i call shiseido..." wahaha, lame. decided on celest in the end. told nicole and fx about it during lunch and they were both like =.= wahaha, should have taken a picture or something. nicole insisted that jade was a nicer name. told her why don't her name be gold, and sheryl can be silver and fx bronze or something like that=p after some time, they were persuaded that celest was a nice name^^ was telling zq about my new name just now. then she said that she knows someone in LOM called celeste-_-" so demoralising. ask her change name or something=p i then told zq is celest lah, not celeste. she insisted it was celeste. so i went to babynames.com to check. lo and behold, it is indeed celeste.wahaha, no such name as celest. by the way, see what i found:

was worried about not knowing anyone in my new class. turned out that nicole's friend, emilia, and cy's friend, chun chuan, are in the same class as me. not bad,at least there are two people i know. the first day was quite okay. not as bad as i expectd it to be. lessons ended at 1pm so i had to wait for fx for 2 hours since his lessons end at 3pm. went to the library to watch tv and decided that i should try watching billy elliot. was quite a nice show actually. met up with fx and went to his house to eat cause his mum cooked a lot of food. *yum yum* the curry was really nice. anyways, i learnt a new word today. *wow* first heard the word on saturday. nicole was using that word to describe bowen's drum majorette's boots. saw that word again on nor nor's blog also describing the same person's boots. suddenly remembered that word today and decided to ask zq about it. she asked me to check it out at www.dictionary.com cause she did not know how to explain it to me. now for a short commercial break:

i have mainly two things to blog about. shall talk about the more important one first which is the april band competition which took place today(technically, it took place yesterday cause it's already past 12am but who cares=p). there was a new event at this year's competition. some sort of audition for bands who want to take part in the outdoor competition. quite interesting actually. especially the hwa chong band (don't argue with me!!! chinese high band and hua chong band is one and the same!!!) taken by our ex-conductor mr. siao. they were real good considering it was their first time taking part in outdoor. then came the actual part of the competition. tkband was the first to perform. it was good but just not good enough, it sort of lacked that "magic" that we always pride ourselves for. there were a total of 8 bands taking part this year, quite alot actually. there was this band which was really cute. think it's jurong west band. the whole band wore cowboy costumes. really really entertaining. then there was yusof ishak band. they were okay, but it was really sad that they got bronze even though they have participated for quite some years already. when we were leaving the stadium, saw some yusof ishak people crying. but guess the most fun part today was that i got to meet so many people that i have lost touch with for the past 1 year or so. really miss my section(especially ah nor) and those people from the '04 batch. took alot of pictures. went to parkway to have dinner with my section after the competition. why is it that our section always always end up at the food court??? so pathetic-_-" we wanted to go to fish & co. at first but the place was full all thanks to the flute section=p we then went to try our luck at swensens but then saw the trombone section waiting outside swensens for a sit. in the end, they decided that we should just go up to the food court. sadded. but it wasn't so bad. got to eat with my section^^ after that, i went to find fx at bb. they were closing up when i reached the place so i went in to slack abit. there was amy, weili and joa around at that time too. they ended up bringing out ice-cream, etc. to stuff themselves silly. haha, it was really fun and i really enjoyed it. miss those guys back at bb. really had lots of fun today. fx then sent me home on a cab^^
okay, time to talk about the second not so important thing. was on the bus back to tk from the stadium when ah nor ask me whether i read the newpaper. she was saying that sometime last week, she was on the mrt towards boon lay when the mrt stopped at tanah merah for a very long time. she was asking me whether i knew about this incident. wahaha. very coincidentally, i was with fx on the train at the other side at that time. it was really stupid as the train stopped for a very long time and they did not open the doors for us. they even turned off the air-con and causing it to be real stuffy. turned out that some indian nationale lost his job or something and was on the way to changi airport to get back to india when he decided that he should commit suicide. so he jumped onto the railway track. halfway through, he regreted his actions but the train i was on was already approaching. so he laid flat in the tracks and miraculously, he survived. so there was a delay and all. most interesting part was that eleanor and i were both there when it happen although we were on different trains.
went to orchard with zq today cause she wanted to buy jeans. met up with fx before that to get the far east level 1 card. in the end, the card was invalid cause the company closed down??? so did not get any discounts-_-" i bought a slippers thanks to zq lending me money (i forgot to bring money, lol) zq bought a jeans at 50% discount. original price was $39.90. but she had to alter it and the alteration fee was $15. so the total price of the jeans was $34.95. wahaha, she should have just bought a jeans which was not on sale. after that, we went to meet cq/pt at heeren. was raining really heavily at that time but we decided to walk there anyways. ended up slipping and falling in front of paragon on the way there. wahahaha, super funny. most retarded was zq who fell down right after me. said that she tripped over me. EXCUSES!!! wahaha. didn't realised i fell down till i heard zq laughing and i think she said omg or something like that. was just thinking why i suddenly looking at things at such a low angle. lol, super fun nia
ya, aerosmith freaked me out the first time i saw his picture. that was when i was watching s'pore idol, and the finalists were singing songs of their idols. and sylvester sim sang i don't want to close my eyes by aerosmith and thus, aerosmith picture was shown. i was super shocked. i don't know why but i always thought that he would look like bruce willis. in the end he turned out to be totally opposite from what i pictured himO.o never mind. at least his songs are nice
as you can see, i got a new blog skin. made the top design myself. the bottom was from another blog skin. quite pleased with it. only problem is, i don't know how to stop the video from appearing before every post. anyone wanna teach me? getting irritating. have been cutting and pasting the video html in every space i can but it still does not appear the way i want it. give me some time to solve this problem. in the mean time, guess you guys just have to bear with looking at aerosmith face again and again=p
wow.... it's been really really long since i last blogged. alot of things happened. just did not have the mood to put my thoughts down in words. sorry to anyone who has been checking on my blog but did not see any updates. real sorry bout that. my mind is still in a whirl. still can't make out what i really want to say. forgive me if i'm not making much sense. i just though bout getting a new video to put up. this video is " i don't wan to miss a thing" by Aerosmith, an all time favourite of mine. fell in love with this song ever since i first heard it while watching armagedon. really don't know what to write, but just felt like writing something. i really need to do something about my sleeping habits. getting harder to sleep lately. have to keep myself busy until i'm really tired before i can go to sleep more easily. getting irritating.
